CR3 India (CRAI) is pleased to announce it has recently been awarded a 2-year term contract for the decoking of fired heater tubes at Indian Oil’s Panipat Refinery in the North-West of India. CR3 has its own proprietary CR3 Decoking Technology (CDT) to remove coke that builds up in furnace and fired heater tubes during normal operation. CDT is safer, quicker and more environmentally friendly than conventional methods such as steam-air decoking and enables the integrity of the tubes to be checked through advanced inspection techniques. CDT is normally used to clean furnace and fired heater tubes in a number of process units including Delayed Coking, Residual Desulphurisation, Visbreaking and Cogeneration Units plus Vacuum Heaters, Naphtha Heaters and Crude Heaters.
The addition of this term contract means that CRAI now has seven separate decoking term contracts in India, which is an outstanding accomplishment.
