One of CR3’s core values is to support the communities in which we work.
We continued this tradition by sponsoring the annual Chris Kays Memorial Rugby Tournament. Chris Kays was tragically killed in the 2002 Bali bombing while on a rugby tour with the Singapore Cricket Club.
Having missed two years due to Covid, this 20th year of the popular tournament attracted clubs, players and visitors from all over Thailand and neighbouring countries, along with the usual support of the locals and expats of the rugby community.
This year’s event was held at the Pattana Sports Resort in Chonburi, a resort that comes with a 7,000 seat concrete stand. Anticipating the hot day to come, CR3 contributed a number of tents to provide shade and cooling for participants and spectators alike.
Held on Saturday 30th April and Sunday 1st May 2022, 12 teams competed for over two days where Southerners Gold Team finally triumphed as they defended against stiff competition from the rest of the teams.
