CR3 successfully erected over 4,000 m3 of scaffolding up to a height of 62 metres on a HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generation) unit at the world’s largest refinery.

The purpose of the scaffolding was to allow a stack plate thickness survey to be performed along with all necessary repairs. Prior to the project, CR3’s team members underwent height phobia and medical tests to ensure their suitability for the job.

A total of 20 scaffolders and 2 supervisors were involved on the project supported by 100-tonne crawler cranes inclusive of baskets for safety.
